Aloha we are Stephy and Justin from Tropical Sounds Festival, who brought you the “Celebrate Australia” Pool Party at Oaks resort back in January and we are back again ready to shake things up!
With Carnivale being the highlight of the year for Port Douglas and the best way to kick off the season, what better way to do it than with another epic dance party for you to rustle up those tail feathers.
For those who missed out on our last event, don’t panic because we are bringing back the legends that are Dj SAFAGE and Dj JUST ANDY to bust out the bangers and get you all shaking your coconuts on the dancefloor!
We know how much you all love an excuse to get dressed up so get ready to get to TOTALLY TIKI with a Hawaiian themed night set to impress. With Hawaiian dancers, beating drums, food and tropical drinks flowing its set to be one to remember. So wear a floral shirt, grass skirt or lei because we are set to celebrate the tropical way! Keep calm and hula on! Down among the sheltering palms of the Port Douglas Yacht Club a starry night awaits you.
Port Douglas is a town surrounded by palm trees, the reef & the rainforest. It’s beautiful. But, the most beautiful thing about it is the feeling that the world is at our fingertips. Tourists come & go year in and year out but the locals, well, they’re always here. After months of dealing with the wrath of the pandemic & what seemed like endless lockdowns and cancelled events, Tropical Sounds Festival was created by Stephy Cameron and Justin Ogge to bring back events that re-created the feeling of “there’s no place like home” & what better way to kick start it all with a Pool Party!
We have collectively been in the events industry for over 30 years & given our connections to people within the industry all over Australia, the ball started rolling immediately. Justin is one of the owners and directors of JAM Productions and boy oh boy does he come with a wealth of experience and Stephy has worked in all areas of events, hotels, and hospitality which soon resulted in the creation of Tropical Sounds Festival.
